Powerboat handling for ladies
If you would like to be able to handle your boat in an emergency, occasionally take the helm or feel comfortable taking it out on you own, learning from your spouse is not always the best option.
Likewise, learning to operate a boat by reading a book or taking a classroom course is like learning to drive a standard shift car by reading a manual. It just doesn’t work.
Certainly, Power Squadron, Coast Guard Auxiliary and other Rules of the Road courses are extremely important and every boater should take one, just like the classroom portion of Driver’s Education.
But don’t forget how you learned to parallel park: it wasn’t at a desk!
I believe in offering you the opportunity to learn the basics with the best of both worlds; a short introduction to all aspects of the boat, and actual time at the helm.
My goal for you: face your fears, build your comfort level and let you boat safely, learning with concentrated one-on-one instruction.
